My area has some pretty dangerous winter conditions coming this week. Mainly wind chill values and blowing snow.

From NWS Paducah:

How did it all fan out? Here in Northern Michigan, we're getting a blizzard. 50+ MPH winds and possibly exceeding 2 feet of snow in spots, with significant drifting. Measuring will be impossible with the winds, but it will be more than enough grind things to a halt, especially north of a roughly Flint to Lansing line. I'm hoping we don't lose power or we could be in trouble, my home loses heat too quick for my liking.
That's what happens when you do preventative maintenance right?!Our grid is usually one of, if not, the first to go out during wind storms. With the local power company trimming trees/branches last summer, they seemed to have done quite a bit to keep it from happening. Not even a flicker this time.
